Do I need an appointment?
Skin and Wax is a private studio. All services are by appointment only. Booking is easily done online through the Book Now button. If you need help, feel free to leave a message via voice mail or text 410.271.5456
Is this your first time to Skin and Wax?
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill out any necessary paperwork so your service can begin on time. Waxing clients need their hair to be at least the length of a grain of rice in order to be removed efficiently. Lash lifting and lash tinting clients should come eye make-up free and remove their contact lenses before their service.
What is the cancellation policy?
All appointments are held by a credit card. If you are unable to make your session, call to cancel 48 hours prior without penalty. Less than 48 hours notice results in a charge of 50% of the scheduled service. Less than 24 hours notice or a No Call/No Show will result in a charge of full price.
What if I'm running late?
Lateness for your facial appointment will result in a shortened service. If you are more than 15 minutes late for a facial I may need to reschedule you. Since a waxing appointment cannot be shortened, it will be determined once you arrive if ample time is left to perform the service. If any appointments need to be rescheduled due to lateness it will result in a charge of 50% of the service price.
Do I need parental consent?
Yes. Anyone under the age of 16 needs a parent or legal guardian to fill out a consent form prior to any service
What to expect during intimate waxing?
A feminine wipe will be provided prior to the service. If you are currently menstruating, have a tampon inserted and tuck the string up and out of the way. Numbing creams can help; most need to be applied a minimum of 10 minutes before the service to be effective. For the smoothest possible waxing it is recommended that you exfoliate the area gently 2 days prior to your appointment. If you choose to reschedule, my cancellation policy still applies.
May I bring my child to the studio?
Children will not be allowed to wait in the studio during services or alone in the spa waiting area.This allows for you to fully relax and enjoy your service.
What about refunds on products?
If there is anything wrong with the products purchased, we will issue a refund or a replacement straight away. We do not do refunds for simply changing your mind.
