What you need to know about Brow Lamination

Updated: Jun 16, 2020

There is no denying that the full brow look is back and has been back for a few years now. If you weren't blessed with brows like Cara Delevingne your only option was to fill them in with powders or pencils. More adventurous brow enthusiasts chose microblading, which is a semi-permanent type of tattooing. That option can be pricey and a little scary.Never fear Brow Lamination is now here! Brow Lamination is a basically a perm for your brows but instead of curls your brows will be sculpted into a sleek, fuller look. Great for thin, sparse, even unruly brows! Results last about 6 weeks. Here's what you need to know before you go.

1. Prep Your Skin

And by that I mean don't do anything crazy the week before your appointment. The chemical solutions were formulated to be safe around the eye area but could still be irritating to someone with sensitive skin. Also avoid waxing, retinols and any active exfoliants a few days prior to your service.

2. Keep Them Dry

Just like the old school perms, you can't get your brows wet for 24 hours after the service. Plan on using make-up wipes or facial sponges to clean your face that night and avoid the brow area.

3. Moisture, Moisture, Moisture

Now that your brows are done you may notice that they feel a little dryer. Just like our hair needs conditioner, especially after a chemical service, your brows will too. I love using a brush on keratin lotion.
